Continuing the tradition, this year, between 17-19 March 2023, with the blessing of IPS Nicolae and PS Ioan Casian, the AROLA spiritual camp with the theme “Point between generations” was organized. It took place in several locations in the USA and Canada and began with the Holy Liturgy continuing with the Parastas service, and the moment that united us all in one thought and spirit was the online conference titled “Valuing and Helping the Elderly – Expressions of Spiritual and Social Maturity” held by father Ionut Tutea, advisor of the social-philanthropic and missionary of the Archdiocese of Bucharest. The conference was aimed not only to bring back to light the needs of elderly people but especially at how to respond to their needs, followed by a series of questions and answers. The time allotted was not enough to share Father Tutea’s experience and that’s why we concluded we decided to organize such a meeting in the near future.

After the online conference in each location, different manual activities took place in which the experienced ladies highlighted their dexterity and talent by teaching those around how to handle the needle or the needles; the skill of the hands of the Romanian woman from which over the centuries have come true works of art not lost even across the ocean

The joy of being together in Christ and the Church made time and space disappear, and the emotion of the unforgettable meeting came with the promise to exist “a next time”.
