Mother of the Year
Saint John Chrysostom said: “Give me a generation of good Christian mothers and I will change the face of the world!“. Throughout the history of Christianity, there have been many mothers who have raised their children with love, devotion, wisdom, and hope in God, putting Christian education first.
On March 25th, on the Feast of the Annunciation, the Orthodox Church celebrates Christian Mother’s Day and AROLA continued the tradition of honoring, in front of the entire community, Christian mothers who are examples for those around them. On this occasion, ladies from each Deanery in US and Canada were chosen to be recognized as role models and received the title “Mother of the Year” and a one year subscription to an orthodox magazine.
May God protect all our mothers and may the Mother of God help them gain the wisdom needed to raise their children into strong Orthodox Christians.
